Song Details:
"American Patrol" is the name of a popular march which was written in 1915 by Frank White (F.W.) Meacham. The march, originally composed for the piano, is partly inspired by popular American patriotic songs of the time, such as "Columbia, the Gem of the Ocean". Glenn Miller and his orchestra released a swing cover version of the march in 1942, arranged by Jerry Gray.
