"A Whole New World" is a pop song taken off of the soundtrack to the Disney animated film Aladdin, released in 1992. The song was composed by Alan Menken, with lyrics penned by Tim Rice. It is performed as a romantic duet between the two main characters of the film, Aladdin and Jasmine, which were voiced by Brad Kane and Lea Salonga, respectively.

However, as a single, the song was performed by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle and enjoyed great commercial success, winning and Oscar and a Grammy Award and becoming the first and only song from a Disney film to top the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
