Song Details:
"Feeling Good" is a song written in 1964 by British singer-songwriters Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse to feature in the musical The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd. Cy Grant was the first artist to perform the song, but the version that turned the song into a classic is that of American artist Nina Simone, who included it in her album I Put a Spell on You (1965).
Canadian singer Michael Bublé also covered the song in his fourth studio album It’s Time (2005), to which the song served as the lead single. Musically, the cover does not differ much from previous versions, with an acapella intro and, later, prominent brasses in the instrumentation. The lyrics talk about showing appreciation for life.
