"People Get Ready" is originally a soul song written by Curtis Mayfield and recorded and released as a single in 1965 by The Impressions, taken from the group's album "People Get Ready" (1965), to which it served as the title track. Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck recorded and released a soft rock cover version of the song in 1985, included in Jeff Beck's fourth studio album, "Flash" (1985).
