"Putting It Together" is one of the songs included in the musical "Sunday in the Park with George" , by Stephen Sondheim, which was first presented on Broadway in 1984. The song was also the inspiration behind the title of the musical revue "Putting It Together", first premiered in 1992 in England and later on Broadway, in 1999. Stephen Sondheim and Julie McKenzie created the musical revue to showcase Sondheim's music throughout the years.
