"Shapes of Things" is a psychedelic rock song originally recorded by the English group The Yardbirds and released as a single on 25 Feb 1966. The song was written by band members Paul Samwell-Smith, Keith Relf and Jim McCarty. The Jeff Beck Group, with Rod Stewart as the vocalist, included a heavier cover version of the song in their debut studio album, "Truth" (1968).
