"Impossible" was released on 9 Dec 2012 as the debut single by British singer James Arthur, who later also included the song in his self-titled debut studio album, "James Arthur" (2013). The song was originally an R&B tune by Barbadian singer Shontelle, who released it in 2010 as the lead single from her second studio album, "No Gravity" (2010). The song was written by Arnthor Birgisson and Ina Wroldsen. James version, more pop-oriented, was produced by Graham Stack and Matt Furmidge.
